What Chan represents -- the humor and charm and the sheer physical beauty of seeing him in action -- as well as the lazy, ping-pong repartee he achieves with Wilson, is the essence of the casual, deceptively artless art of movies.

Only promised a few good fights, a lot of chuckles, and an easy way to kill a couple of hours. In today's Hollywood that's hard enough to deliver.
  3. It's too bad Chan's imagination and delicacy were wasted in this movie.

  1. An action packed comedy! I loved it Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson were hilarious and Fann Wong was good too. If you like action movies and comedy movies then Shanghai Knights is a movie for you. Expand

  2. It was ok but really it was just so stupid that it was likeable. The acting was poor and the action was good (for the most part). The entire plot was too generic though and lacks interest. Also it ended terribly. Expand
