Great movie, while some parts didn't translate so well into english subs it was still a very funny movie, great special effects and a good cast, some of the over the stop stuff was absolutely hilarious! Just what you'd expect from a Stephen Chow movie, i'll give it a 9, good stuff.

Give me any other football film. This is one of the worst cinematic representations of football I've seen and the fact it is called Shaolin 'Soccer' to make the Hollywood market happy makes me very, very annoyed. CASH-IN.

Everyone who says it sucks needs to stop being so damn serious. It's purposefully stupid, and it works like a charm. Lighten up a bit, geez.

I can't believe this movie only got a metacritic score of 60! It deserves at least 100. This is the best movie I have ever seen. The singing Shoalin Monks along are worth the price of admission. This is the funniest movie made since Monty Python and Holy Grail!

I really don't see what the big deal is with this movie. It wasn't very funny, the characters were annoying, it was very predictable, and the attempted love story just didn't fit in at all with what was going on. I just found the movie boring. I give it a 3, though, because the "stunts" were very cool to look at.

This movie deserves a wide release, especially when crap like White Chicks is playing on thousands of screens. Miramax has done very little to market this incredible movie, and from what I read they cut out at least 30 minutes of the film. This film would appeal to anyone who enjoys sports movies, feel good movies, comedies, kung fu, or guys nicknamed Iron Leg. If this were marketed better, it would have been bigger than Titanic - or at least bigger than White Chicks. Expand

One of the best movies of whatever year it was released in. It's surprisingly clever, and for those who don't like soccer, it also touches upon Shaolin pastry baking as well. So there's something for every one, dig?

This movie was so lame! I can't believe some people say it's the best HK movie ever! Has anybody watched any other HK movie? Looks unlikely... The humor in this movie is so dumb it's totally stupid. But if you like overlong scenes with fat football players trying to eat eggs on the floor many times then this movie is for you.

I give this film a 2,because of its action sequences, but the screenplay just gave me a headache. This film is even not funny and the english version is dubbed horribley! The stupidest line must be "Phone home,Mui,you dont belong on earth".The year's most horrible film!

One of my favorite movies of all time - Perfect guy movie. I hear the English-dubbed version is far inferior to the original Chinese version, but it's one of those movies that you could totally understand even without the words. A great way to kill 90 minutes.

The most enjoyable film I've seen in the last few years. It builds up to an over-the-top climax that will have you "jumping out of your seat" rooting for the underdogs. And Stephen Chow has more charisma in his little finger than all of Hollywood's "action stars" put together. Let's hope he stays in Hong Kong!

Sports sequences, in which the laws of physics are blatantly broken, like in films such as "The Sixth Man" and "Angels in the Outfield", take us out of the movie, because the world where the incredulous feats of athletic daring takes place, at least resembles Earth, so we wonder why nobody notices that the trajectory of the ball is screwy, or understand that a man can't jump a hundred feet. In "Shaolin Soccer", we accept the absurdist soccer match because we're obviously on some kind of Earth annex; location: parallel universe. Since special effects is the primary domain of science fiction, maybe the argument can be made that "Shaolin Soccer" is an undercover sci-fi flick. It's under this pretense, I tried to justify "Shaolin Soccer" after leaving the theater, because this film, to put it mildly, is pretty "retarded". With the Asian art cinema on the rise, Harvey Weinstein probably did the far east cinemas a favor by killing this film. "Shaolin Soccer" is to "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", as "Pokemon" is to "Princess Mononoke". "Shaolin Soccer" is the cinematic equivalent of William Hung. Expand

This was an all around good film. If you just go along for the ride, the movie will reward you. And what a combo, soccer and martial arts...can't beat that, right?

This film is made to amaze. Not taking itself seriously for one second, the story is entertaining and the visuals truly stunning. Even my friends who have no love of any form of HK action cinema get a kick out of this film. Perfect with a couple of pints and friends in need of a giggle or two. The subtitles (for I have a region 3 copy with no english dub) are truly pathetic translations, but they tend to add to the charm of the film. Perhaps being English I get more of a kick out of watching football at a hyped up level than our cousins over the big pond. Expand

This movie is pretty damn funny. Sometimes it just falls into the "so bad, it's good camp", but other times the humor is genuinely clever. An over-the-top, deliberately cheesy flick...if Kung-Pow Enter the Fist had actually been hilarious it might have looked a little like Shao Lin Soccer.

Sorry, translation Italian - English mechanical Six bros soccer pros. A "freestyle soccer" delightful and contagious.

Gray, ashy, dull, dull, leaden. These are just some of the colors that cover the human soul corrupt and insatiable of glory, power and deification pfui! :-||/. The director-star "leg of steel" Stephen Chow / is so present to the general public "Golden Leg Fung" Ng Man-T
at / young idol of the country, "the bug". Unlike the "Bombyx" that extrudes the proteins to give body to a wonderful cocoon, our Golden Leg seritteri soul secrete the invisible threads of dishonesty that profoundly alter the deeper meaning of a sport, and beautiful group, which by its nature is classified as "game". He is there, in front of the goalkeeper. Eleven meters separate it from a consecration that everyone is waiting, all they want. With the raised arm salutes the cheering crowd. It 'a riot, a waving of flags and banners that move with hopeful confidence. But the path is well traced in the heart and mind of the designer from the belly forward. The idol of thousands of children are to autograph his last penalty kick. We read that the Galilean law of falling bodies is true only in the empty stadium, unfortunately, "Golden Leg" at the moment it is not. The crowd is angry, the consequences are disastrous. So begins this fantastic, brilliant, extraordinary, wonderful love story. Yes Just so I understand. ... Love and all that. Smack! ;-) /

A real team, take care of everything, is formed by a group. This group reach their goals if its members are highly motivated. Needless to say, that motivation alone is not enough. The objectives in addition to being very clear to all you have to internalize them, make their own. Thus become a vital center for the existence of the same group. And then ... and then we need a leader, emotionally mature Fiiihiu! :-D / who should be able to hold together the components of the team ensuring in particular the relational aspect. Squash! /:-D

Who is our leader? What is your dream? The leader is Sing Stephen Chow / "leg of steel". The dream is firmly convinced that the spirit of Shaolin can be applied in all fields of knowledge and know-how of man. Sing, is the fifth of six children he has not seen for some time, they also experts in Shaolin Kung Fu. The best thing to do, think, is contact them. Show them the validity of his theories, it also means to reunite a family in temporary migration, which has retained the spirit of ancient traditions. Start looking for them. I try to introduce other "five bros soccer pros" ^ _ ^ â
