Most of the laughs are due to Bynes, a vibrant young actress with excellent comedic chops.

It will certainly appeal to its target audience, and Bynes is charming enough to carry the whole film on her shoulders, which is a good thing considering that she's in just about every scene and leading man Tatum is a stiff.
  3. So good-natured, and its cast seems to enjoy itself so thoroughly, that the total annihilation of disbelief it requires winds up feeling like a reasonable enough request.

Thanks to a winning cast, all of this is funnier than you would expect considering the erratic script.
  5. 50
Neither smart enough nor funny enough to have cross-over appeal to any other demographic.

The highschool hijinks may entertain the young, but those more familiar with the Bard will recognise this as a wasted opportunity.

There I sit, suffering total numbness of body and brain, no longer having to wonder what it might be like to be buried alive in gooey marshmallow.

Love it if I were still a 12 year-old girl - little too cheesy for a 22-year old though.

It didn't take long to catch up on the plot, which plods along with loads of forced sophomoric attempts at comedy. The ending was so cheesy I almost couldn't bear to watch it. Not kidding. It's great for 7th graders who like Lisa Frank. Everyone else steer clear. Expand
