this movie was hilarious, good stuff! Robert DeNiro's attitude is hilarious, and Eddie Murphy’s character is funny. Rene Russo’s hot too!

What an awful movie! Neither were good, and if u want to see DeNiro at his comedic best, go see meet the parents.

Showtime has a few moments that make you chuckle but the whole story seems discombobulated. You would think that a comedy with Murphy and De Niro would work....it should have but the storyline was just one that didn't allow the actors to really flourish in a buddy cop type movie. Drop the whole reality show premises and you might have had a decent flick but with it Showtime is just to unbelievable. Expand

Its breeziness keeps it from ever being completely bland or flat.
  2. A disgrace to the talents of Robert De Niro and Eddie Murphy, but it's not enough just to say that. It's also a disgrace to the talents of Rene Russo and whoever drove the coffee truck to the set every day.

De Niro and Murphy are visibly uncomfortable with each other. Their improvisation seems chaotic and mismanaged, and the movie follows in kind.
