  1. A skillfully made teen comedy with such an endearing sensibility that it's fun even for those old enough to be the grandparents of its stars.
  2. A good-hearted 'tween comedy hampered by uneven direction and a misguided plot twist.
  3. Reviewed by: Sid Smith
A sweet, effective installment, an often bright and efficient repository for the slapstick laughs and cutesy sentiments so beloved by this age group.
  4. Reviewed by: Joe Leydon
A frenetic, featherweight trifle aimed at tweener femmes.
  5. In terms of a pre-teen instructional, Sleepover offers throughout a laudable emphasis on the importance of friendship, but parents may rightfully flinch at a protagonist who is ultimately rewarded for breaking all the rules.
  6. Reviewed by: Melissa Levine
Highly commercialized teenybopper fluff, likely to please the tweenie girls but sorely lacking in anything original or even interesting.
  7. Yes, it's all a harmless lark. Which is why the only thing that could redeem this sour patch of candy-coated crud would be a final shot of Earth exploding.

Sleepover is a regrettable expierence. The jokes are corny, the plot seems implausible(Would kids actually be stupid enough to break the law for a nice lunch spot? Honestly?), and, it's just really awful. They had a character who was supposed to be a "chubby kid", and they tried to make it seem like "chubby kids can be cool too!", but, honestly, close to the ending, it starts to get offensive. The only possible way to enjoy this movie is if you have the ability to laugh at how horrible it is. Expand

This movie wouldn't even be entertaining to a 7 year old. Almost all of the scenes are cheesy, the acting is cringe worthy, and it really wasn't even remotely funny. Expand

this movie is the most redundant peice of crap i have ever seen, what a waste of space. stuff just happened for no reason, so much for sublty in film craft. also what kind moral does a movie posses when its central message is that all that matters in high school is how popular you are. shallow, supperficail, prime example of the shit america spits our year after year, when great australian movies like littlefish can barley even get funding.
