Aug 24, 20105How can you screw up Venom? They made a pure mockery of his character and overall persona -- not to mention Spider-Man himself. There is nothing wrong with going through an emotional time, but the overall presentation of Peter's gradual change is cheesy and disturbing.
-
Oct 7, 201010To be honest, I didn't what was so bad about this movie! I've heard complaints about Venom, too many villains, etc. Well, whatever! I don't care for any of that! As long as I'm entertained, that's all that matters for me!
-
Sep 21, 20117"Spider man 3" is very impressive and astounding; Sam Raimi manages to give the obvious fresh joy and humor from the previous sequels and even throws in more villains. The Result? Perfect.
-
TylerGreeneMay 7, 200710I thought this movie was the best in the series. I loved every Spider Man movie and this one was my fave. I don't understand why everyone is downing it so much. I was just like the other Spider Man's. This movie had great action, great story, and great dialogue, i loved everything about this movie. It was funny but also serious. This movie pulled off everything. Easy 10.

MaxMooneyMay 2, 20073Definitely the weakest of the three (what is it with Marvel #3's? X-Men 3 reaked as well). The audience I was with seemed bored throughout and laughed only once. And that was the Jonah Jameson pill scene. Not a good sign. I say let's leave it alone at 3 and NOT suit up for any more.

JohnWashingtonMay 3, 200710This film is a masterpiece. Just ask the critics and the IMDB fans. This division is what creates nothing short of brilliance. If you want, you can disagree with it. But no one can argue that this movie certainly is entertaining, and that it has a heart to it and is a gripping tale of bitter humanity.

ChrisVillegasMay 5, 200710Best movie ever, idont know why people despyes so much this movie, the story is soo cool, and the fight scenes, why do they say that is exagerated? is spiderman, not batman, i mean, come on, its a super hero story, or did you wanted to see another superman returns version? that really sucked!! give spidey a chance.

Mar 6, 20116This is the worst Spider-Man movie yet, the stupid story and TERRIBLE plot twist with Sandman was RETARDED!!!! and they completely shafted Venom, even though it's so flawed I still got enjoyment out of this, this will sharply divide fans.
-
Jan 13, 20124Compared to the other Spider Man movies, this is bad. The history isn't nice as the first movie's and it's way less enjoyable. The enemy: Venom, is the nicest thing of the movie...probably one of the only things nice in it.

asoykeMay 5, 20073This was not a good movie. Shame on you Sam Raimi. You should change your name to Shlong Raimi, because that's how bad this movie was. Please don't cry about it. I got enough of that out of every single scene in the movie. Way to mess up a trilogy. Next time someone wants to pay you to direct a movie, please have them give my balls a call, because they could make a better movie.

PaulDaviesMay 15, 20071i didnt rate this movie number one cause i think i would be cool to be like yea its number 1. i think that anyone who liked this movie should should be hit over the head with a very heavy object and shunned in society aka eddie. but i think also that u might see some action if u ended up in the wrong movie but thats the only way. Ben ur right this movie sucked hard then paris hilton!

-
DaveMMay 15, 20075I'm very disappointed, but at least I know why: too many villains (1 that finally isn't, he's just misunderstood.........), too many plot lines (useless was to involve Sandman in uncle Ben's death), not enough Venom, too much attempted comedy. What saves this movie is the special effects (10/10 for Sandman) but that's not enough seing how good the 2nd Spidey was....

phildoughertyMay 28, 20070i feel bad for sam rammie and all of the actors. this movie was rushed the whole time, just to have mindless action, with to many characters. also i love how the black spiderman outfit is every where in advertisments but only 2 seconds in the movie. oh and one more thing sam rammie didnt even want to put venium in the movie!!!!

AnonymousMCNov 24, 20078Compared to predecessors, Spidey three is a little choppy, but that doesn't prevent it from being entertaining. the "bad" peter is an absolute blast to watch, from his more outspoken behavioral qualities to his ferocious spidey fighting. Sandman's an awesome villain, and the arc with the three friends was wrapped up nicely.

JeffG.Dec 7, 20070Whining, complaining, and soap opera cliches fill up a movie with two good fight scenes. Compared to the comics, my favorite character, Venom, is castrated. Something happens with some guy that turns into sand, and the Green Goblin bores everyone to death. All that in over two hours. I got this movie for free, and I regret it dearly.

BrandonCavnarDec 14, 20073Has Spidey gone EMO with his new do and black ensemble? They dilligently attempted to screw this movie royally. All cliches aside, why so many characters and no development? It's dizzying with everyone crying and pissing about self-empowerment. This sequel should put spidey out of his sensitive misunderstood misery. I want my money back!

MiKEJan 12, 20087I actually enjoyed watching this movie. Sure there are numerous stuip things, but just ignore them like they were not there and enjoy the rest the movie. The special effects are excellent! and the movie is loaded with them, I also found the story to be well writen as well. Once again afew lose ends. Overall this is the 2nd best Spiderman movie.

BryanM.Nov 5, 20077what is so wrong with this? it is a great action movie and yes I know they gayest thing about it is it has way to much love in it with mary jan. but that black spider man was so cool. the only bad part is I did not get to see the ending i saw it on a bus trip. o and harry is a bad villen. he got his butt wopped to easy.
-
-
SteveC.Nov 7, 20077There is a lot wrong with this movie, but in the end it's still entertaining.
-
-
CraigGNov 9, 20072This movie was absolutely awful, the comedy in the middle just completely disjointed the film, and it was soooo long. Utter dross.
-
-
AcidM.Nov 16, 20071Wow. After seeing the villains in this one, I propose, that in "Spider-Man 4," they have Spider-Man fight a T-Rex with a laser beam, a flying shark with a tiger's head, a 90-foot tall Hitler, and the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
-
-
dudeNov 20, 20073WHY DOES HE TURN EMO IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOVIE? He even does the hair thing! And that stupid jazz dance scene, what the fuck was that?? The graphics were great, the dialogue, I'm sorry, just can't be taken seriously. Why was he dancing in the streets and giving the thumbs up like a jackass?

-

UncleDougBigelowNov 26, 20071Sandman killed this movie. The only reason it doesn't get a zero is because Parker smacked M.J.
-
-
KeithJNov 30, 20075Loaded with illogical and unlikely events, it feels like an excuse for special effects and to tie loose ends. That said, the special effects are good. So if you want to partly disengage your brain, this movie is satisfactory.

SteveOMay 7, 20086Spider-Man was a classic and even Spider-Man 2 was good enough to keep me entertained... Spider-Man 3, however, is a bunch of BS. Everything seemed to collapse. What happened to the story and acting? This is a bunch of nonsense! Unreal and stupid.
-
-
SamGMay 8, 20080Abysmal.Overly-long, terrible acting all-round (with the possible exception of Hayden-Church), Parker dancing, giving kirsten dunst TWO songs, awful dialogue, messy fight-scenes and worst of all, a shot of spiderman posing in front of the American flag. Don't get me wrong I've got nothing against America or patriotism, but that made me feel nauseous. Utterly rubbish.
-
-
DevonCMay 29, 20084Spider-man 3 is very disappointing. Raimi did so well with the first two. But look at this crap, it deserves no awards. It has one really good scene, which I will not identify, but every other scene was either off, cheesy, bizarre, over the top, weak, or just simply bad or stupid.

-
-
BobS.May 4, 20075Special effects action is too fast to see and in your face (zoomed in). half the movie is an emotional soap opera and i only saw it because i saw 1 and 2
-
-
BillS.May 4, 200741 and 2 are much much better. half of it doesnt make sense logically. the special effects have already been done in 1 and 2. but in 3 its over done. and the movie feels like 100 things jammed into 2 hours.

JimB.May 4, 20073Was great until the second half, when Raimi decided to barrage us with every single cliche that exists in superhero movies, as well as a self-important fight between spider-man, a non-canon venom, and an enemy that to me resembled the stay-puft marshmallow man from Ghostbusters.

DanielH.May 4, 20074Wow this was the most corny movie i have ever seen. It was like all the actors forgot how to act. I am mad i wasted 2 hours of my time to that horrible movie.
-
-
JoshuaS.May 4, 20071It's so bad one wonders if Raimi didn't sabotage it on purpose. We're talking Batman & Robin bad.
-
-
MikeH.May 4, 20079this film is so much damn fun. very formulaic and cliche heavy, but when you have a budget in excess of 300 million, why the hell would you want to be edgy. almost anyone who walks into the cinema knows what they're going to get. don't expect to be challenged, just enjoy it.

DwightM.May 4, 20077I give this a 7 because in grade-school, a 70 is a C for average. I felt that this movie was average when compared to what we've already seen from this franchise. I was expecting lots more but received even less. I am sorry to see these characters go like this. Alas.

[Anonymous]May 4, 20075Too many wasted villains, too many subplots. And please, someone should illegalize the "John Travolta" act of Tobey Maguire. But overally, if you can look past the uselessly complicated subplots, there are some good action scenes, especially the ones with the Goblin. But I still think Venom and Sandman got wasted.
-
-
GregD.May 4, 20075A huge disappointment. Some parts were extremely corny, at that is extremely disheartenly as the first two were wonderful films.
-
-
CarsonK.May 4, 200710I thought that the effects were amazing and the villains were tremendous. When everything is sort of o.k. and mellow for Peter the story is a little less interesting, but this is still my favorite spiderman movie.
-
-
FilmFellaMay 4, 20078Though the movie is a bit long and a bit slow at times, this will easily be one of the best movies of the summer and most fun movies of the year. Smarter and Funnier than the previous movies help 3 find its niche in the Marvel Hall of Heros.
-
-
MartinL.May 4, 20073M. Lee--What are you talking about? Spiderman 2 was infinitely better than 1. And why do you think people even care about the first 2 films? It is simply because of the character development, not the boring CGI crap/action that can be seen in Power Rangers. Please, you sound like an idiot. This film was awful and unoriginal.

80The wow factor works overtime with state-of-the-art effects sequences that often are as beautiful as they are astonishing.
-
50A sense of strain envelops the proceedings this time around. One can feel the effort required to suit up one more time, come up with fresh variations on a winning formula and inject urgency into a format that basically needs to be repeated and, due to audience expectations, can't be toyed with or deepened very much.
-
75Overly long and complicated, it's packed with crowd-pleasing moments and satisfactorily wraps up the trilogy - without quite capturing the magic of the first two installments.
