  1. Even though it is ultimately anything but an endorsement for street racing, the movie stunningly captures its undeniable excitement.

Due to digital image manipulation that pushes the picture to the boundary between narrative and avant-garde filmmaking, slightly overlong effort is full of striking, fresh visual interludes showing cars, speed and the sensations surrounding the scene.

First-time director Joey Curtis shows inklings of a future as an accomplished cinematographer, his digital videography lending some scenes a mesmerizingly pixellated quality and others the hectic blur of a surveillance video.

Despite its contemporary sheen, it's very old-fashioned in its storytelling and structure. Unfortunately, it's more muscle than high-formula, and it clanks, sputters and spins out in its pedal-to-the-story medal style.

Like the director, I am a former street racer. Don't expect to see a Fast & Furious here! This movie is real as it gets. The director spent six years of his life to make this film,I want to say thank you! Expand
