    Mandy Nelson's sugar-high bright-'n'-cheerful script takes a series of easy ways out, avoiding completely the prospective pitfalls of having to see any of these characters as complicated, contradictory, not entirely nice or identifiable-with -- actual human beings, in other words.

    I can't believe how little respect this movie gets. The acting is great and while not as scathing as Election, it's pretty damn close. I can't believe the Rolling Stone review makes a comparison to Bring It On (and apparently prefers the latter is even more amazing). There is no similarity between the movies except for the characters happen to be cheerleaders.… Full Review »
