The lightness with which Buñuel was able to insert the little jokes and knife stabs of surrealism he loved so much is, in fact, divine.
Cinema's greatest surrealist is at the peak of his powers in the last movie of his unparalleled career.
The old surrealist created another masterpiece in this, his final film.
