we really enjoyed watching this movie with our 4½ yr old son. It has plenty of humor/references that adults will enjoy and our son calls it the Halloween movie. We've now watched it 5 times and we like the songs too.

Um dos melhores filmes que já assisti nesse ano, faz eu sentir uma nostalgia dos velhos tempos das animacoes da Familia Adams, curti muito a història que o filme traz e a lição de vida. Gostei e aprovei o humor e piadas do filme, dei muita risada. Curti o clima e a ambientação do lugar no filme, gostei da maneiraque mostrou os persinagens e que retrataram e a trilha sonora muito boa.

If this installment lays on the moral (all families are freaky in their own ways) a bit thick, it has just enough wit and weirdness to honor its source material.
As quickly as Thing can snap its fingers, we’ll soon forget our visit with this version of The Addams Family.
Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon’s animated The Addams Family introduces the Addams gang to a new generation by way of a retrofitted origin story that shakily attempts to hold fast to its original charms while cramming it inside decidedly modern trappings.
The voice work and the overly smooth animation mostly stink.
A movie so bland and forgettable it hardly merits a groan from the Frankenstein-like butler called Lurch, The Addams Family strongly suggests that directors Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon deserve little credit for 2016's Sausage Party, the hit they directed for writers/producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
Look who decided to go back to the movies!
This animated film resurrects the Addams Family to the cinema, which is a recurring appearance in the seventh art ... and thank goodness! They are fun in all their weirdness and bizarre ways. In this film, which begins with the wedding of Gomez and Mortícia and the arrival of the new couple to their decadent mansion in the middle of nowhere, the family's peaceful unhappiness will be disturbed by the construction of a model urbanization on a neighboring lot. Is this how the Addams will adapt and integrate into society? I really liked the movie, but I've been a fan of the Addams for years, so my view of things can be a little distorted by my personal taste.
Designed for young people and adults, it presents a very simple and easy to anticipate story, which makes the entire film undermined by predictability. But as much of the film is based on the strength and charisma of the main characters, who are limited, in part, to being themselves, this turns out not to be a problem. The voice actors' work is quite good, and we can find, among them, names as well known as Charlize Theron, Snoop Dogg and Chloë Grace Moretz. The soundtrack fulfills her role very well. With regard to the sound part of the film, I especially liked the scene where Lurch plays, on the organ, the main theme of the old series, but there are several moments when the silent butler offers us with his artistic and musical gifts.
I think the film is visually beautiful, with good drawings, appealing light and color, reproducing in a very perfect way the house, the clothes and the characters we get used to seeing. Of course, most, if not all, of the work is CGI animation, and of the best quality. The gloomy atmosphere of the house has been reproduced to the smallest detail and radically contrasts with the "mainstream" style of the new neighborhood below. The film explored all these contrasts to the fullest, with good results.
The most original and strangest family ever did not return to the cinema, if I am not mistaken, since the distant "Addams Family Values" of 1993. It was a long absence! But it was worth the wait. This film, carefully done well, is truly worth it.

It's an alright film. Not bad for a reboot in a way, although I am questioning why MGM and Bron made it as an animated film instead of as a live-action film, kinda like with the two older films. The plot is good in a way but kinda feels dull and just meh. The tone is kinda questionable as well because the film classifies itself as a black comedy film, but doesn't give off the vibe as much. I do feel like the film is missing something here and I am planning on watching the second film and giving my opinion on said film page as well.

Though there is a nothing plot and there is no real interesting or original ideas, I did enjoy Allison Janney playing the evil realtor/home decorating guru Margot.
