    Hey I'm kind of a sucker for a crazy comedy with a hot chick. Most people that like the movie said they were ashamed that they did, but I like it and proud of it.

    Cheap laughs, bad plot, and a bad overall acting. I know this must have been intended for stupid children because the humor just sucks. Who wants to laugh at a guy who can kiss his own ass. And then asked how he does it. So if you want to waste money watch this.

    The movie was funny. Colleen Haskell is so cute in the movie. Anyways, I think it deserves an 8 or 9, but a 10 will bump up the lame rating its being given.

    What is the recipe for a great Rob Schneider comedy? Well, according to The Animal?s director, it?s a bunch of obvious jokes, a predictable ending, a sexy lady and a dorky hero who manages to be loveable and appeal to the hot lady for no reason at all. This director does not really understand a recipe for a great Rob Schneider comedy. This movie is simply a replay of all the bad ?dumb-fun? comedies from the past few years with a few more lame jokes added in and a terrible ending. Disappointingly, seeing Schneider jump around like a monkey, swim like a dolphin and leap like a leopard didn?t interest me, despite all the similes it can produce. Although The Animal?s premise does sound quite intriguing, it does not work with Rob Schneider and all the unfunny gags. As a smart, sophisticated comedy with worthy actors and a lot more clever quotes and comic scenes, this would?ve worked. Unfortunately, the chemistry sucks, the actors suck, the story sucks and the longevity factor sucks. This is just one big sucky movie that I can?t recommend even for teenagers and people who don?t look for quality in a film and just want brainless entertainment, you might like it. As any of the above, The Animal just really didn?t do it for me. Sorry, Adam, even your ?surprise? cameo can?t ?do it.? … Expand

    Not a really good example of the comedy genre. The actors were ok but the plot was awful. This particular script could have had quite a bit of potential to be somewhat mediocre but as we can see it lacks any real punchlines, good visuals, stunts or subplots. The film tries to emphasise on the zero to hero transition of the lead character (Rob Schneider) but one couldn't care. As for the comedy it is mainly Rob Schneider miming to some animal sound effects which was ok the 1st time you see it but is heavily overused in the film which makes you wonder wether you could've wrote a better script. To sumerise it, should one find the DVD at any retailer, it comes in handy under the leg of a rocking table.… Expand

    This movie was funny as hell. Note to Janine D who was offended by the Filipino comment: Rob Schneider is actually part Filipino.

    6 would be fair...its got its moments..the actress is fine...but rob schneider shudnt have been given hair on his ass!!...lolz...anywayz the low profile kinda feel to the characters and some other little things save it from being entirely gross!

    I thought I would've enjoyed this movie but i didn't...i didn't like the comments made on my nationality! I am Filipino and PROUD OF IT! We are not dumb! Nor do we all have low paying jobs! We are hard workers and we prove it tremendously!

    Mild gross-out comedy integrates a non sequitur -- a running joke made by a sidekick -- into the plot, providing some payoff.
