I had reservations about seeing this movie thinking it would just rip Chrisitanity. However, I was very surprised at how well done it was. It acurately portrayed the doubts we all have about our faith to varying degrees, Banderas did an excellent job in his struggle to hold on to his faith and still looking for the truth. Interesting insight by the archeoligist/priest on the antichrist take of the bones. Expand

An open mind, some religous knowledge, and a 2-hour suspension of disbelief are required to enjoy this emotional experience. It brings a new approach to the question "Is God dead?"

This talky, self-important flick is a bore of biblical proportions.
  2. Despite a premise that's provocative, to say the least, this one's a dud.
  3. It's a heartfelt and powerful examination of faith that no serious student or enthusiast of theology or philosophy should miss.
