  • Starring: Jenna Fischer, Will Arnett, Will Forte
  • Summary: The Brothers Solomon tells the hilarious story of Dean and John Solomon, two good-hearted but romantically-challenged brothers. When they find out their dying father’s last wish is for a grandchild, the brothers set out to find someone to have a baby with. But after spending their formativive years being home-schooled by their father in a remote arctic location, their social skills prove to be somewhat lacking and their attempts at fatherhood go hysterically and disastrously wrong. A better film would have matched Arnett's seemingly effortless intensity throughout. This okay film does merely okay by it.
  2. The sheer, animal idiocy beaming from their faces in the opening credits of The Brothers Solomon creates the film's only moment of uncalculated comic joy.

If anyone is to blame for this bomb it's Forte: He wrote the thing, and one would assume he's the one responsible for those uncomfortable silences where jokes are supposed to be.
  4. The upbeat brothers are full of sweetness and love, but the script is made of taffy, and if you can chew and laugh at the same time, you're welcome to it.

    Will Arnett is the shit.
  2. It's a movie I can watch over and over again. It's stupid, silly, and does not have a serious bone in it's body. However, it is a fun sit-on-the-couch comedy that will make you laugh and question the mere idea that this movie was a thought it someones head. I wish more movies were like this one! I love it, you can hate, it's been made already so there's nothing that can be one about it! Happy watching! Expand

I was surprised by the poor ratings. I laughed a lot, and i consider myself fairly critical of comedies.

An utterly average film with a few hilarious scenes. Will Arnett is good, but even his Arrested Development references cannot save this mediocrity.
