The opening half-hour may prove to be a disreputable classic of pedal-to-the-metal filmmaking.
It's not much of a movie, but a hell of a ride. So what if the movie dumbs down Japanese culture to a bad yakuza movie and features Japanese characters who can barely speak Japanese? The cars are the stars here. Everything else is lost in translation.

When Fast and furious used to be both fast (a movie about racing) and furious (with a bit of action)

this and the 2nd movie for me are the best of the fast and furious saga. I love the touch of humor in this movie! Too bad Sean is only a main character in it

This third installment of the popular series about fast cars and the posturing boys who love them is best viewed as an energetic cartoon, an unintentionally amusing, head-shaking guilty pleasure that will divert those not in the mood for anything more profound than gleaming metal and preening women.
For all its crashes and flash, this is a movie that drifts away as we watch it. Muscle cars and all, it's often a waste of gas.
The problem with contemporary Hollywood isn't that so many of the movies it's churning out are based on formula; it's that so many directors take perfectly good formulas and wreck them with bad filmmaking.
Lucas Black, who looks as much like a high school kid as George Bernard Shaw, speaks in a thick Southern accent that hasn't been heard on any leading man since the second act of "Our American Cousin."
The last car enthusiast movie with a low score was The Dukes of Hazzard from the year before...
I truly do not understand why critics watch these kind of movies which is obviously targeted for a certain group of people...
There are millions of car lovers around the world who love these movies and visiting this page to see their reviews always give the facepalm reaction from me...

It's good to be back to street racing with a really fun story and some engaging calves drifting and all of that stuff is just feels like this is a movie hitting its thrive in the beginning. I enjoyed this first and the Furious film about maybe this is my favorite in the frame size which is weird because it's the one that it feels most out of the ordinary.

The movie is decent at times. The races look cool and are shot really well. The main character is ok but very boring at times. The music was also nice.

Ok, "Velozes e Furiosos: Drifting de Tóquio" é simplesmente o pior shounen americano que eu já vi. E “desafio em Tóquio” é a cabeça da minha pica, tradutores burros e filhos da puta.
