Williams has extraordinary success in channeling this other person.
  2. A slick sci-fi thriller that comes complete with enough twists to keep audiences satisfied and enough moral quandaries to keep the thinkers happy.
  3. One of the year's few sci-fi films that actually takes itself seriously, and a movie that goes a long way on the strength of its unique premise, steady performances and impressive visual style.

Striking visuals help, but pic won't make the final cut with either genre fans, who've seen it all and better before, or the arthouse crowd, who will sneer at pic's cliches.
  5. The thriller with a promising premise fails to deliver.
  6. Fairly well done but deadly dull futuristic thriller.

It's not a bad premise for a movie, but writer-director Omar Naim, a 26-year-old Lebanese native making his feature debut, proves equally inept at handling plotting, actors and pacing.

Intriguing and intelligent movie that draws you in and keeps you thinking long after it's over.

unanimated, boring but with an interesting premise, "the final cut" is just an exercise of style that results... boring, unanimates and completely senseless and incoherent. Expand

Complete waste of an interesting premise. The storyline and subplots are cut to shreds leaving no reason to get involved or care about the characters. Absolutely pathetic. Collapse

The sad thing is that the premise of this movie could have been very interesting. Unfortunately they left out one small actual plot. Nothing happens in this movie until the last few minutes when [***SPOILER***] somebody chases Robin Williams through the woods for a little while and shoots him. It was stupid, boring, and just plain bad. Expand
