While the acting is top-notch, the real star of the film is the script.

A dark comedy whose story is propelled by shock but sustained by issues of love and forgiveness.
  3. A movie in search of a theme. Svend and Bjarne aren't bad or uninteresting characters, and certainly the two talented actors playing them are inherently watchable. But there's too little meat on these bones.
  4. Should have been either darker or funnier. Or both.
  5. 50
It's a clammy, odd duck of a movie, a black comedy that seems strangely content with merely being morbid.
  6. Neither funny nor outrageous nor horrifying nor conventionally affecting.
