    This movie is raw and captivating. I hope Eitan publishes the novella that he based the screenplay and movie on. It contains strong performances and powerful message. Refreshing to see too that the cast is willing to take time to listen to the viewing public. I was fortunate enough to be able to attend one of their Q &A sessions after viewing the film (in NYC) and it really helped me gain more insight into the film. There's been some flack about the ending but I think it really adds to the story and makes it all the more powerful. … Expand

    I thought that this was going to be a coming of age movie. It was. However the coming of age of such young people as the young man at the center of the story appears incredibly negative. the creators of the film seem to be suggesting that "leopards do not change their spots". The bar owner will forever be a hippy. The young girl may not stay a hooker for the rest of her life but will remain street savvy. The arab gentleman may be friendly but still considers suicide bombing to be a valid way to live. The gentleman who drives around armed with an automatic weapon will be a terrorist wherever he may live (New York or Jerusalem). What a way to live...very depressing.… Expand
