Critic Reviews

  1. Riveting and revealing whatever views you have on the partisan issues involved.
  2. I'm not sure the filmmakers - one, Harry Thomason, is a long-time Friend of Bill - have connected enough dots to prove a "vast" conspiracy. But that many people devoted much of their lives and resources to destroying Clinton is indisputable.
  3. The film is a sobering chronicle of the depressing circus of persecution and pseudo-scandal that was the Clinton years. But why did the President provoke such ire? A movie with insight into that might actually feel new.
  4. Effective piece of election-year propaganda.
  5. 70
The message is clear, and powerfully told.
  6. 67
The film doesn't have the book's detail or range, and by turns it's portentous with trumped-up melodrama or overreaches for lame comedy.
  7. Reviewed by: Ty Burr
It's the old-fashioned verities of documentary filmmaking that serve Thomason and Perry best.
  8. Although the film presents plenty of compelling material, it suffers from the same weakness of "Fahrenheit 9/11": an utter lack of dot connection.
