It seems more likely that a dumb movie will lead only to a time-wasting surge in applications from dummies. Maybe The Internship was secretly funded by Bing.

There is a creepy, undead feel to this lumbering comedy set in the offices of Google, and Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn have a distinct Baron Samedi look in their eyes.

You need only watch the trailer to know that The Internship is a promo for Google; think Google for Dummies, as well as Summer Comedy for Dummies. It's as if the writers googled "how to write a script" and nothing came up, so they wrote this anyway.

Who let an unfunny, irritatingly acted two-hour commercial for Google onto multiplex screens?

A movie sorely bereft of ideas, laughs and justification for the comic duo’s undifferentiating self-regard.

For those of you on a really tight entertainment budget, you'll be paying at least 8 cents per minute not to laugh. Your money is better spent on beans and rice.

Personally I loved this movie and am really surprised at the negative reviews. The story was tight with great acting and plenty of humorous lines throughout. By the way the comedy wasn't just stupid sex jokes... it was actually decent, witty stuff for the most part. The story also had a nice overarching theme concerning the positive effects of change in life which I appreciated. In any case go and watch this. Full Review »

Next time someone makes a commercial for Google pick better actors, a better director and better screenwriters.

Quite possibly among the worst comedy's I have ever seen. Not one laugh. How can they release a movie like this? Anyone who sees it will know in the first 30 minutes it is awful. Nothing works. Just awful. Full Review »
