KarmenB.Jun 23, 200410This movie was the best out of all three! people who did not like it are MAJOR butt heads, and orlando bloom and elijah wood made outsanding preformances.

-
patrickd.Nov 12, 20059Beautiful camerawork, breathtaking shots, majestic action and a perfect fantasy enviroment make up this conclusion. It's really long though, and I still believe it's overrated.

StevenL.Dec 23, 200610After twice reading The Hobbit and The Lord of the RIngs, I would not have thought it possible to bring the books to the big screen. Having seen the films I can say that Peter Jackson did a masterful job and the films are excellent.

FurbydudeDec 14, 200710I see some of you hated this movie. but that's silly because a LOT of movies are long and boring nowadays (and I was being sarcastic). LOTR was at least a good trilogy. in some of the boring bits, I tried to stay awake for the exciting parts, and yes it was a good movie.
-
-
ChanceB.Apr 23, 200710The trilogy was one of the only ones that I've seen that actually matched the books.
-
-
BrandonS.Jun 22, 200810A classic in every sense. These movies were essentially one 14-hour epic broken into three installments (just as the original is really one long novel broken into three books). Completely amazing, groundbreaking, and full of heart. It's set the bar by which all future epics will be judged.

DanielT.Dec 14, 200310This movie is the reason Peter Jackson is the BEST!!!!!
-
-
DmitryP.Dec 15, 200310The battle scenes are arguably the greatest ever filmed: the splendor of "Lawrence of Arabia" combined with the gruesomeness of "Braveheart" and the gosh-wow pyrotechnics of "Empire Strikes Back." But the best part of the movie is the final twenty minutes, where the emotional after effects of the battles can be seen on the faces of the characters and in their eyes.
-

D.K.Dec 16, 200310The best installment of the trilogy. If you haven't set your path upon seeing these movies for whatever reason, resolve yourself to see them now! Start today! Rent Fellowship and Towers as soon as you can! You don't want to miss RoTK on the big screen!
-
-
ChrisT.Dec 16, 20039So this is how it ends... (sigh) Well, we can only hope that Pete Jackson hands the franchise off to someone just as talented for the fourth movie. (But just between you and me, I think the fourth one is gonna TANK. We'll just have to hope for a solid comeback with the fifth one...)
-
-
StevenH.Dec 17, 200310Not only is the final chapter excellent, but the whole trilogy.

It completely overshot our expectations. Anyone who cannot enjoy something that is so much fun probably enjoys absolutely nothing.

GarrettI.Dec 17, 200310This movie was, in a word, awesome. The stunning visuals and the scenes of massive armies clashing. There were a couple scenes that i wasn't as fond of, but the rest of the movie more than made up for it. The acting on all parts was terrific. Very powerful, very emotional.

BrianJ.Dec 18, 200310This piece is certainly the best movie to appear on film. There will never be a movie that can top it. The masterful creation of the battle scenes and the emotion of the quest to destroy the ring all pull together to bring the fantastic trilogy to a magnificent end. Tolkien would be proud.

PhoenixR.Dec 19, 200310It's a cinematic masterpiece and history in the making. The first two of the trilogy were grossly underated for the feat that so many people have conquered in the past years.
-
-
J.Dec 19, 200310This film incorporates all that I felt was necessary. The last battle, the emotion and the lost hope all contributed to the overall amazing effect of this epic among films. It helped that I am a die-hard Tolkien fan though.

-
HanSoloDec 19, 200310WOW! This film has action, great acting, an emotional core and heroes you really root for. It's got everything, except more of it. But you have to forgive director Jackson for having to omit so much of the book when so much good stuff is on it in such a cohesive, meaningful way.

Did you notice that almost everyone who gave this movie a bad review didn't write more then a sentance? Don't listen to them! They just want attention.

CarlosH.Dec 22, 200310To all the people who rated this movie with a score below a 10, go back and keep watching your boring sitcoms on TV and for your lack of vision. This movie touchs every emotion possible. Thrills, happiness, and sadness. My hats off the Peter Jackson and everyone else involved with these incredible films. Can't wait for "The Hobbit", Mr. Jackson.

ErinJ.Dec 29, 200310Not as good as the Two towers and The Fellowship. All of them had flaws, but what movies based on books don't? All in all, this movie deserves a 9.5, but seeing as that isn't possible, I will round up.

Dec 26, 20109You guys who gave this a 0 are trolling, right? I've read the books, watched the films, both are amazing, really can't see how people are giving this 0s and 1s.. that's about all.
-
Jan 20, 201110By far this is my all time favorite movie. It surpasses virtually every other movie in every way. The lord of the Rings Return of the king is a must see before you kick the bucket.
-
Mar 13, 201110I love this movie so very much. Every time i see it, it still tears me up after watching it at least 9 times. Even though it is really hard to tell what there saying( another marvelous feet by the director). An incredible movie that i think has the best freaking ending ever.
-
Feb 22, 201110The best film I've ever watched. It combines everything I love about films. Superb directing, passionate acting (with the exception of Bloom), amazing music, and the ability to grab and not let go. This film (and trilogy) completely fulfill the definition of epic.
-
100The conclusion of Peter Jackson's masterwork is passionate and literate, detailed and expansive, and it's conceived with a risk-taking flair for old-fashioned movie magic at its most precious.
-
An epic success and a history-making production that finishes with a masterfully entertaining final installment.
-
100The second installment was better than the first, and this one is best of all. It has spectacular action scenes and imaginary creatures, and it’s by far the most moving chapter. The performances have deepened.
