You still get Tim Curry in drag, young Susan Sarandon in her skimpies and an enthusiastic score. [16 Nov 1990, p.3D]
If you've never been to a midnight screening of Rocky Horror, please go. It's a delight. And if you can't make it, this Blu-ray attempts to bring that experience home. Just don't watch the film without, at least, some form of audience participation. It's just not much fun without it.

A perfect movie even with all it's flaws. Tim Curry is excellent as always and the music is just fantastic. One of my top 3 films of all time.

The material inspires affection, given its knowing pastiche of everything from Universal horrors to '50s grade-Z sci-fi, and a shamelessly hedonistic, fiercely independent sensibility that must have seemed a welcome relief from the mainstream bombast of other '70s musicals.
Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick are perfectly caste as two naive
waifs who stumble upon the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter after car trouble
on a rainy night. The supporting cast is appropriately, well, let's say
idiosyncratic, but for my money it's Tim Curry as the mad doctor who
steals the show. Surely he stands as the most charismatic transsexual

The film itself is a lot of fun--but the audience-participation phenomenon has turned it into a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience.
Dr. Furter is played by a British actor named Tim Curry, who bears a certain resemblance to Loretta Young in drag. He's the best thing in the movie, maybe because he seems to be having the most fun.
The wit is too weak to sustain a film, and the songs all sound the same.
This is the only movie that I have found worth viewing 10-20 times, although I cannot articulate what is so amazingly addictive about this movie.

Making musical sci-fi movie of 1975. Differences create lesson in this film. According to his own era quite brave. Although not included in the Horror category in my opinion. A musical feast. Beautiful song from each other. Also dance shows are also great. But I can track any more. I do not think so. There are more than scenes containing nudity and sexuality. The film will have small numbers of fans around the world.

"The Rocky Horror PIcture Show" is a terrible example of what happens when you forcefully fuse different genres into one big pot. Nevertheless, the music is great and at least the film earns recognition as the 'godfather' of all cult films mostly due to a true crazy performance by Tim Curry. A fan boy must-watch.

Honestly, I just don't get what the big deal is. The music is fine but the plot is kind of eh and it really wasn't all that interesting of a movie to me. It's definitely a niche kind of thing where you either love it or hate it. I just walked away feeling very indifferent, especially after that awful ending.
