    Artistry isn't the business of this film, and neither, to any great extent, is grasping the details of the anecdotes these men tell; like any meal, it's the flavor that matters.

    There’s nothing flashy about The Romeows the film or the Romeows the men, but what they’ve created — their life’s art — matters.

    For the most part, we sit in on the conversations as good-natured, ordinary guys — all graduates of Brooklyn College in the ’50s — reminisce.

    While this is indeed a likeable enough group, watching them interact with each other over the course of 80 minutes becomes a bit wearisome.
