Themes of how family history can repeat itself, courage for self exploration and the freeing impact that letting go of the past can have on others all seem to be explored in this broad reaching life epic. It is not often that a film shows the broad strokes of an entire life lived to distill it's fundamental impact. Yet, the audience is given enough room to draw their own conclusions.
