Explains how Cubs fans and Cub heros are one and the same, and shows why Ron Santo is THE player most deserving of joining his teammates, for who he was the captain, in the Hall of Fame. Forget about objectivity. No one who has been a Cubs fan for decades (approaching 6 of them in my case) can be objective about this guy. He is the best, and it is time for the spotlight to shine on him and reward him for his excellence on the field as well as his indominitable spirit off the field. Bravo, and Go Cubs, forever. Expand

In a recent "Sun-Times" article Jeff said he purposely avoided taking a son's perspective, which leaves him without much perspective at all.

When a loving son makes a documentary about his father, you can forgive him for laying it on a bit thick - especially when his love for his subject, Ron Santo, is shared by an entire city.
  3. Won't be of much value to anyone besides die-hard Cubs fans or the Santo family itself.
