  1. The sequence serves no real purpose beyond dazzle for dazzle's sake, but when you're watching it, that's purpose enough.

At least the special effects in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen are remarkable: You never tire of the endless variations of robots Bay and his computer-generated effects crew come up with.
  3. With its intelligence at the level of the simple-minded, however, the film is not likely to attract moviegoers who seek something more than a screen filled with kaleidoscopes of colored metal. Fan boys will no doubt love it, but for the uninitiated it's loud, tedious and, at 147 minutes, way too long.

The storyline is so infantile that it will appeal to young kids.

Much of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is simply despicable.

But having said that, it is one of my favorite movies. Here's why. The presentation of this movie is flawless. The action is perfect and dazzling. Explosions and metal pieces galore. Many scenes, especially the forest fight scene, play out like a symphony orchestra. So what this movie lacks and screws up, makes up for it 100 fold. Collapse

Eh....now, I actually loved the first one and thought it hit all the right notes, except in its last half hour when it just turned into an Eh....now, I actually loved the first one and thought it hit all the right notes, except in its last half hour when it just turned into an "action movie." Well.....this entire movie is like that half hour. It just never stops, there's so much non-stop action that the audience becomes numb to it. Even when nothing's going on the camera never stops spinning around, I actually began to get sick in the theater during a kiss scene because the camera kept spinning around the characters for what felt like minutes. I was at times amazed at the movie....amazed at the racism, amazed at the terrible story, amazed at how they used Green Day's 21 Guns as a love balad, (3 times!!!) amazed at the depiction of college life....seriously, unless this was Porn Star Campus, girls in college don't walk around dressed like that. (Not that I'm complaining, exactly, but it did take me out of the movie.) Meagan Fox's ass pretty much upstages the rest of the cast, as Michael Bay never seems to get tired of pointing the camera at it and the other actors don't get much to do. Everything in this movie's so overdone that it's almost a joke; the movie almost plays out like a parody of itself....as if somebody wanted to make a spoof of a Michael Bay film and this was what we got. Every action scene, every joke, every camera movement, shots of pretty girls...it's all done TO THE EXTREME. It's almost a running joke itself. Even when no action's going on the characters talk so fast and urgently that I barely had any idea what they were saying. (Especially Stan's roommate...) Still, I've gotta give credit where credit is due....the movie DOES manage to be very funny (though the jokes themselves seem to have been written by a bunch of 13-year olds in a gym locker room, but they're delivered by funny actors and so they work) and almost every single line is a joke. Shia LeBouf continues to be a very funny actor and delivers his lines perfectly, as if he knows how ridiculous this all is and goes along for the ride. The special effects are also pretty amazing and overall I DID have fun watching it, but afterwards it's almost impossible to grasp what I've just watched. Too bad. The first one was very promising, this is just a somewhat decent follow-up. Expand

I think this time Michael Bay overdo with the explosions and slow motions "Yea man we all know that you love explosions and slow motions alsoI think this time Michael Bay overdo with the explosions and slow motions "Yea man we all know that you love explosions and slow motions also the volume up but that's just to much" and in the background of the crappy plot it was just exhausting to watch .And the actors contributed alot to this failure Megan Fox play was so boring and unprofessional that she pass this mood in too the film .It's not only she i think everyone were so lazy this time they even use scenes that were in the first part scenes that were in the beginning of the movie they just didn't put any effort. And the biggest fail was the plot the hole movie was just no sense there are a war between humanity and aliens and they focus out attention to teenage problems and when we have to get in to the movie they messed up the hole story .And in the end you stay and watch 2 hours movie with explosions , fights and no plot and story .Total FAIL. This movie was a poorly planned, poorly designed,I was laughing all through the movie, but not at what Bay was hoping I would laugh at. This movie was a poorly planned, poorly designed, poorly executed mess. One would expect more character development in the second movie, but they were all more stereotypical and cliche than the first movie (read: "blackface" robots). Further, Bay blatantly ripped off sci-fi classics rather than come up with his own ideas. Megatron and the Fallen are basically Vader and the emperor. Then there was the Terminator ripoff taken to a ridiculous tongue-weapon extreme. This is not even to mention the elementary school plot and the god-awful acting! I would have given the movie a zero rating, except the effects and action sequences were pretty cool. This was the only thing that made the movie even mildly entertaining. Expand
