Riveting.
Puts a face on the clerical sex scandals rocking the Roman Catholic Church.
It's a demanding film but one filled with important truths about humanity in all its denominations.
Perhaps because the trial hits so many delays and roadblocks, Twist Of Faith doesn't gather much dramatic momentum, though there's something to be said for the emotional grind of running in place.
Director Kirby Dick (Derrida) shapes the movie in such a way as to leave everyone flummoxed.
Doesn't offer much new in the way of news or analysis. What it does offer is inspiration from an unlikely source, via an unsparing look at one such victim.
