    Two brothers will have a very simple story but manages to make us reflect on the cruelty of men and helping each other how they will tackle the barriers.

    I my Self found the movie to be first class and well done it helps to eduacte people about tigers and why they should be protected. The Acting was excellent by all the cast as well as the tigers them self if you have never seen this video I can recconend it to all you will love it.

    The best of the film was the tiger's acting. The story was great and the cinematography was brilliant. The score was sweet. I only gave it 9 because Guy Pearce's acting was horrible!

    Great movie. I got it for my three year old son and he loved it. A lot of people say it isn't for kids because one of the tiger's gets killed. Every Disney movie ever made follows the same premise. Besides that the story line was great, and the cinematography was excellent!

    The movie had a great plot and It wasn't evien Computerized Who ever thinks this movie is bad then I don't Know what their smoking!!

    Very well done, but parents of children who are sensitive to animal cruelty beware that this may be a tough one for them to watch.

    "Two Brothers" might've worked better had only one tiger been captured, so we'd have one less subplot, thus less people who hog the screen. The same tiger could've absorbed a loving relationship with a percocious English lad, do a stint at the circus, be the property of Asian royalty, and go gladiator against another tiger. What if the second tiger was captured deeper into the film for the climactic blood match? Their reunion might've been less hokey. "Two Brothers" starts to really unravel when the film grows aggresively comic as the tigers paint the town orange. "Two Brothers" lacks a consistent tone, which dilutes the impact of the film's anti-hunting message, because the tiger who delivers it, seems more like a method actor than a wild animal, at times.     The unseen hunter who killed Bambi's mother was a humanitarian in comparison to the so-called humans seen in Two Brothers. At least he did his dirty work quickly and with one shot, while the people in Jean-Jacques Annaud's gem subject tigers to lifelong servitude, torture and psychological abuse...when they aren't pitting them against each other in fights to the death a la Kirk Douglas and Tony Curtis in Spartacus! All critical elements that Annaud's two-legged characters aren't nearly as compelling or interesting as his four-legged ones are therefore rendered irrelevant on two counts: A. that's obviously part of his plan, and B. Guy Pearce (L.A. Confidential, Memento) actually DOES exude a lot of Pierce Brosnan-like charm as the most complex and sympathetic of the adults. Annaud's handling of the cubs and their parents is an unqualified success: he steadfastly refuses to "Disney-fy" them, yet you're never in doubt as to what they're thinking or feeling at any moment. The little guys are predictably as cute as, well, kittens...but Annaud never lets us forget that they'll also grow up to be very efficient killing machines. (I doubt that, as much as kids will love this movie, that they'll be bugging Mom and Dad to stop by Petsmart to pick up their own little Kumar on the way home.) Yet Annaud also makes it very clear that the tigers, if left to themselves (and often, even when NOT) kill only for survival or sustenance...and that most people, unlike them, aren't especially loyal or good even to their own kind. They lie, cheat, steal and even destroy each other's cultural artifacts for money...and in one of the movie's most telling shots, a wounded native servant is treated with no more consideration than a dead tiger. Annaud has succeeded in telling a simple, linear (but noncondescending) story that will enthrall children, while his unsparing critique of his own species will leave adults with a lot to consider during and after the film. That's why Two Brothers is easily the best family movie so far this year.… Expand

    A gorgeously done movie with a nice story line--children and adults will enjoy this film--the animals are quite amazingly well trained and the scenery is beautiful

    Two Brothers is an amazingly beautiful movie. The photography of the cats and the jungle are breathtakingly beautiful. The message is clearly defined in this society where these big cats are on the brink of extinction.

    This movie is an amazing movie that shows the sense between humans and animals. It is sad to think that humans might be the only species left a few decades from now.

    [***PLOT REVELATIONS***] Be careful! There are tigers in the movie "Two Brothers." Actually, the tigers in this film are more captivating and sympathetic than frightening. This is a wonderful film ? an animal story that thankfully omits the sugary Disney treatment. "Two Brothers" is not for young children and has the courage to be a film for adults. It whisks you away to another time and place. Even with its own travails, the film provides a pleasurable escape from the stresses that haunt us in the daily news. "Two Brothers" transports the audience to an exotic Asian jungle in the 1920?s. Beautifully filmed on locations in Thailand and Cambodia, "Two Brothers" convincingly succeeds in taking us to a place of ancient temples lost in a steamy overgrown tropical forest?a place where tigers play. Here, tiger twins, Koumal and Sangha, are lovingly cared for by both mother and father but the flow of their lives is suddenly interrupted by the arrival of humans. They come searching for antiquities to illegally export to the western world and to hunt tigers for the bounty and their skins. Guy Pearce plays notorious hunter Aidan McCrory, who very soon shots and kills the twin?s father. Their mother makes a valiant effort to save her cubs but loses them both. Koumal is discovered by Aidan, who is kind to the baby cat, but Koumal is destined for more difficult times, as is his brother Sangha. The film kindly spares us having to witness the abuse that the brothers suffer while letting us know that it is happening. The film holds our interest as we get to know the brothers, one is shy, the other one, bold. Guy Pearce does a fine job in his role as does the supporting cast. The real stars, however are the felines. They are heroic. We care about them and hope that in the end they will somehow be able to find one another and return to the place they belong. The story was nicely crafted by Alain Godard and Jean-Jacques Annaud who also directed. "Two Brothers" is too good to miss this summer. I?m giving it an 9/10. … Expand

    As in "The Bear," Annaud eschews animal voice-over and visual F/X in favor of live, almost wordless action. The result is the humanization of animals and the animalization of humans.

    That Annaud and his deft production team create believable dramatic characters without compromising the dignity of the animals they've borrowed as stars -- is the striking (and sometimes unnerving) achievement of a film that also swoops and loops through fairytale hoops.

    Combo of some stunning animal direction (courtesy of ace trainer Thierry Le Portier) and exotic period setting somewhere in French colonial Indochina charms when the quadripeds stalk the action but creaks when the bipeds open their mouths.
