When I went out to see this movie, I was looking for just a regular romantic comedy...and I came out laughing my head off! I think this movie was well thought out, and the casting is fantastic. The hilarious content of this movie never stops, and Bullock and Grant really make this work. There are no questionable scenes, and it is just a great 'feel-good' kind of movie.

Two Weeks Notice This is a movie starring Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock. For those of you old enough to remember, this a good B movie, i.e. a second feature that you would enjoy but never go to the theater to see as a first. What is nice about the movie is that even though it many times teeters on the fence of going either into an inane mode, it nevertheless manages to stay simply silly but not annoyingly so. Hugh Grant, in particular, is a very good comedic actor and never overdoes the role. Sandra Bullock, not a personal favorite of mine, overcomes my prejudice and is acceptable. The scenes of NYC steal the picture and, all in all, I found it an enjoyable but not a notable experience. The movie gets 2 and ½ stars and might well be a good choice if you come late to the mall and the other pics are sold out. Expand

You can't really go wrong with a Sandra Bullock movie. She is extremely funny, even when she's not trying to be. This Chick flick is light hearted and enjoyable, a good 'girl's night' movie. The Hugh Grant/ Sandra Bullock combination is a new twist that has made a fun movie. Although it is lacking slightly in depth, it is very enjoyable and worthwhile to see.

It's a romatic comedy, which means that almost everything in the movie has been done before, both better and worse. The movie is almost painfully average, with only Hugh Grant's surprisingly funny character adding spice to what would otherwise be a totally bland dish.

Sandra Bullock is my all-time favorite actress! She NEVER fails to make a great movie. I loved it so much the first time that I actually went back and saw it again. When it comes out on on video on April 29 I am going to go and buy a copy. Sandra Bullock RULES. Keep up the AWESOME work, Sandra!

It had too many momentary chuckles for me to hate it, but it never went anywhere.

Sandra Bullock does her thing. Hugh Grant does his thing too. Look at Bullock when she asks Grant to remove an offensive vegetable off her plate. There's a lot of moments like that, in which chemistry helps transcend a perfunctory script.

Even Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock, which I usually like, could save this movie?

As always, deeply-felt actors move towards brilliant filmmaking. The fleeting moments, the choices of our conflicted our crying archetypes--these are the things that make filmmakers weep. This drama reveals the insides of the true human condition. It's sad to see so many lost souls ignoring the great toil in this beloved tale. Please. "About a Boy" was a far better Grant vehicle.

Not as painful as I thought it might be, but the film just didn't have any flow. The editing was horrible (scenes just ended, as if they ran out of film.....). Hugh is solid, as usual, and Sandra is great, but they didn't have much to work with here. I think the metascore is pretty right on.

This movie was worse than any romantic comedy I have ever seen. The acting was good, but Hugh seemed to feed on Sandra for his lines, it seemed like they were both reading off scripts, making the movie have absolutley no flow.

If anything, Grant seems to be getting funnier, and he now has the ability to elevate material the way another Grant -- Cary -- did.
  2. Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant are distilled to the very essence of their annoying tics and quirks.
  3. The result may not make for a great adventure, but it's sure a fun ride.
