  1. This digitized update, with Jason Lee as a huskier, more generic Underdog, mostly drops the doggerel, but the endearing airborne-beagle effects help to offset the formula twists.

If you're expecting anything resembling the beloved cartoon, you'll enjoy the title sequence and nothing else. If, however, you set your expectations just low enough, or are an easily satisfied 8-year-old, you might have a bit of fun.

Falls somewhere between stale retread and half-hearted parody of superhero-movie formulas.

Even the promising team of Peter Dinklage’s mad scientist Simon Barsinister and Patrick Warburton’s henchman Cad turns out to be a bust.

The bite and bark of Underdog are both pretty awful, but little kids might take this pooch for a walk.

I really enjoyed this movie, older audiences may not enjoy but younger audiences will be sucked in immediately by it's humor and intentionally goofy story. Expand

Not a great film by any stretch of the imagination, but I laughed. and I enjoyed the homages.

Underdog is an easily forgettable, throwaway flick strictly for children. The movie is sloppy, derivative, and cheesy, and never thrills us or gives us any compensation for its bad script. Expand

Two is generous, one is fair, and zero is understandable. Its plot and writing is macabre, and Peter Dinklage's acting is wasted on this pathetic and clichéd villain. The entire film is a cliché, and one that fails to even make fun of the superhero genre. Making animals heros is already boring, and in a way disturbing to me Expand

    Underdog is underwhelming.
This had all the makings to be a cute family film, but ends up just being puke worthy. There are no laughs, there
is no story, and there is no message. A mindless, brainless, overly goof movie that a five year old goof of written. Expand

A weak, unfunny, not very heroic movie that you see and only very young children are set to enjoy. The film also suffers because it tries to hard to be heartwarming and warm when it becomes the opposite. I give this film 14%. Expand
