Easily the worst Besson script since, well, ever. And I am not even a big fan, but I know crappy writing when I see it. Jet Li had much more presence and charisma in all his previous "made-with-rappers" movies. Morgan Freeman smiles a lot, most likely as I imagine he is thinking about the new attachment that he is going to have built outside his house with the paycheck he's getting. Hoskins is doing a shtick he perfected in far superior films like "The Long Good Friday". The only one who comes out of the sentimental and syrupy-crap is Kerry Condon, who is really convincing as a 18-year old kid with a crush. OTher than that, this is a dud folks. Expand

Li is action poetry in motion. Damn them for spoiling our popcorn fun with salty tear-jerking.

Bounding out of the gate like a greyhound, Unleashed needs only its first 30 seconds or so to elevate itself well above the average action potboiler.
