It's all such a spectacular show.

A beautifully drawn film and engaging story marred only by its vague character development and mediocre voice-overs.
  3. 50
Ignore the furiously overplotted, headache-inducing story -- derived from a series of comic books -- and focus on the exquisitely drawn Japanese animation.
  4. About as many characters, dragons and force fields as "Pokémon" has pocket monsters, so it may be difficult for the uninitiated to keep track.

Kinda like a mature-rated RPG in movie form, it felt as though I was watching some Japanese game in animation. The story is one that's been seen in countless games and anime, but it was still enjoyable considering the Legend of Dragoon/Final Fantasy X/Shin Megami Tensei influences. Expand
