Once every couple of years, a movie comes along to remind us how satisfyingly complex the genre can be. Christopher Nolan’s reimagining of the “Batman” saga did that masterfully. On a slightly less ambitious scale, so does X-Men: Days of Future Past.

To reboot the X-Men franchise, director Bryan Singer, who first gave these characters screen life fourteen years ago, has crafted a continuity-lover's nightmare.

I couldn’t follow many of the ins and outs of the time-travel scenario, and I’m not altogether sure that the filmmakers could, either. It doesn’t really matter. It’s enough that the movie is fun. We shouldn’t also expect it to make sense.

For better or worse, X-Men: Days Of Future Past is the first Marvel movie to truly embrace comics-style storytelling.

“Days” is fast, smart, well-acted, and intermittently inspired, and if you don’t know or care who Beast or Blink or Storm are, you can safely skip it.

As usual, the characters — and the performers playing them — step unto the breach to provide just enough wit and feeling to make Days of Future Past something other than a waste of a reasonable person’s time.

The film squanders both of its casts, reeling from one fumbled set-piece to the next. It seems to have been constructed in a stupor, and you watch in a daze of future past.

My favorite x men movie as of right now the action was great and the characters I sincerely cared for there was a lady played by Ellen Page and I don't know what her name was unfortunately but I liked her and I felt bad when she got hurt wolverine was awesome because well he's wolverine magneto was amazing and well pretty Much every other character was to there was a surprising amount of emotion in this movie so prepare your tear ducts and the question is would I put this up there with Avengers , the dark knight rises and whatnot yes I would and beyond an easy 10/10 five out of five and a bad a** seal of approval Expand

Unlike some of the superhero movies, there is genuine emotion here. Its has some good action scenes and a fun plot but in the end its about the characters and their struggle. It makes for a compelling movie. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A pretty good movie. Not exactly what I was hoping for as a follower of the X-Men lore, but it does what it tries to pretty well. And you don't need much knowledge of the previous movies to enjoy it. The use of the Sentinels was kinda disappointing, but I was okay with that considering they weren't the main focus of the movie anyway, and they could have done much worse with the lore.

Other than that, the fact that this movie pretty much eliminates X-Men 3 from the movie cannon is a big plus. So nice to see that junk just removed entirely.

It's a pretty worthwhile watch for both the non-X-Men vets and those that are long-time fans.

BY FAR the worst xmen movie ever made the mistakes both logical and else where just all over the place it was just such a huge bummer and such a terrible movie that i dont even know where to begin to criticize ...
But above all the sentinels kicking mutant as* 'es like its nothing is what killed it for me i mean come on ... Anyone who has watched the xmen - tas and read the xmen comics would say the same thing about this terrible excuse of an xmen movie my overview opinion is that marvel should stop making movies and ruining childhoods because this thing totally ruined mine ...
