  • Summary: A Japanese animated feature directed by Taro Rin which was derived from a comic book series. It's all such a spectacular show.
  2. 83
An odd, jumbled, beautifully wrought, often confusing work, this animated feature manages to be a compelling, exhilarating experience.

A beautifully drawn film and engaging story marred only by its vague character development and mediocre voice-overs.
  4. 50
Has the sleepy feel of an urban fairy tale, but getting there is a long trip.
  5. 43
It's gibberish, but when X works at all, it works not on the brain, but on the gut.
  6. About as many characters, dragons and force fields as "Pokémon" has pocket monsters, so it may be difficult for the uninitiated to keep track.
  7. It bored me clean out of my wits.

Kinda like a mature-rated RPG in movie form, it felt as though I was watching some Japanese game in animation. The story is one that's been seen in countless games and anime, but it was still enjoyable considering the Legend of Dragoon/Final Fantasy X/Shin Megami Tensei influences. Collapse
