  1. Almost every soulful track grew on me, with the clincher "Down & Out," one of his periodic explanations of why sometimes he sips and smokes instead of trying yet again.

4Eva N a Day is mostly just the sum of its influences, one can't help but marvel at the tape's economy and endless listenability.

Here he is, outdoing one of his idols by modernizing sounds that inspired him in the first place.

Atmospheric, soulful and cohesive, with beats as strong as rhymes. [Jun 2012, p.108]

Like past releases, [4Eva N A Day] breathes a warm, nostalgic haze steeped in Southern soul and the country rap of UGK and Outkast.

It's not that Scott has nothing to say. Instead, he suffers a fate much worse--he's boring.

Conceptually this tape is extremely cohesive, and rarely falls apart with wonderful and lush production to guide you through the journey of being KRIT. You get this story with varied sounds and tones, but the lyrics never take a backseat. This is a wonderful introduction if you are not aware of Big KRIT, but if you are a fan of bass, lyrics, and the South this is the album for you. Don't miss out. Expand

The production is stellar, with different beats accompanying different moods and distinct styles put forward by KRIT in terms of flow, delivery and lyrical content. There are slow, emotional and philosophical journeys like Handwriting and Boobie Miles, as well as tracks that play nicely in the car or club, like Temptation and Me And My Old School. All of these songs, whilst being great on their own, are made exponentially better when combined to form this unique, near-perfect concept project about what it's like to live forever in a day from the aggrandised perspective of a rising star. Surprisingly songs're swinging with the same force, no matter if they're a more subdued as the "Wake Up" - with a great saxophone parts, or a more energetic kind ("Boobie Miles", "Me And My Old School"). As a rather capricious standards of the genre - a-must-have type. Expand
