    It's that rare sort of just-about-perfect record that demands to be played over and over again. [#53, p.82]
  2. A wondrous listen that tosses jangling pop and psychedelia with such ease that you'd be forgiven for thinking he could do this in his sleep.
  3. Though thoroughly enjoyable, the album isn't always riveting, either, and occasionally the attention does stray.
  4. While my inclination is to recommend A Feather in the Engine to everyone without reservation, the disc is actually best suited to more advanced listeners -- that is, those of you for whom sing-along pop songs are not a prerequisite for enjoying an album.

    If you love the Clean, you'll love Kilgour's solo work... Great pop, great guitar....
