Alone Aboard the Ark doesn’t tackle any major challenges that might have elevated The Leisure Society above an expanding pool of indie folk artists they’re now swimming amongst.

It's a more commercial, fuller album, even if it does slightly lack the spirit of their previous work. [May 2013, p.105]

You can fully imagine The Leisure Society penning another hart-rendering minor classic sooner or later. But for the moment, the waiting must go on. [May 2013, p.88]

The Leisure Society have certainly woven a kind of magic here, but with all their era-hopping it falls a little short of the climaxes of their live performances.

The songs are simple sing-alongs with some lovely hooks--but trying to open his sound to random ideas and new styles just doesn’t seem to suit.

Loved the album however there are few low tracks. But the album itself is fresh and never get to boring me.
I need more from Leisure Society!
