  1. Amorino sounds like a lost soundtrack to some cool French film from the 1960s.
  2. At its best, on songs like "Monologue for an Old True Love" or the Nancy & Lee-styled orchestral country duet with Eugene Kelly, listening to Amorino provides nearly as many musical thrills as listening to a good B&S record.
  3. Uncut

It's saved from twee tedium by Campbell's sumptuous orchestrartions and sly wit. [Dec 2003, p.115]
  4. Mojo

An amibitious record. [Dec 2003, p.113]
  5. A sprawling beast that's unexpectedly heavy on the instrumental front.
  6. As could be expected, the production is sharp, and the song structures are tightly wound and delicately unraveled. The problem is that the effort as a whole is too slick, and its charm suffers as a result.
  7. Her breathy vocals are unsettling, her glacial detachment lazy and too often irritating.
