Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 4 out of 8
  2. Negative: 0 out of 8
  1. At its best, on songs like "Monologue for an Old True Love" or the Nancy & Lee-styled orchestral country duet with Eugene Kelly, listening to Amorino provides nearly as many musical thrills as listening to a good B&S record.
  2. 80
It's saved from twee tedium by Campbell's sumptuous orchestrartions and sly wit. [Dec 2003, p.115]
  3. Amorino sounds like a lost soundtrack to some cool French film from the 1960s.
  4. A sprawling beast that's unexpectedly heavy on the instrumental front.

This beautiful young lady never gets the credit she deserves. Lately with all these commercials featuring wannabe twee bands you'd think she's be at the forefront of the indie pop revolution with Metric, Stars, Feist, Cat Power, Bat For Lashes and so on. Collapse
