    I would call this album a cult classic. Despite, the early reviews of this album being completely unfair towards it, I would consider this album to be Chaz's greatest work. With songs like Harm In Change and So Many Details, this album offers his greatest and most incredible works he could offer. It's probably my most listened to album that I've had heard in the last year. It's soI would call this album a cult classic.     This record is a classic nowadays. It's a brand new style of music. Everything sounds pretty good. Everyone should listen it! -yada yada to complete the 150 characters minimum required.-

    If Causers of This ping-pong synth, catchy production and Underneath The Pine emotional nuance were to have a child, Anything In Return would be it. Toro Y Moi has found the middle road between already admired LPs, and is uncompromising in trying new things in his own style.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A fantastic album that once again breaks the boundaries of genre and expectation. A quirky and intelligent album with apparent influences from electronic house, hip hop, indie rock, funk, and Chaz's own personal style. Songs like Touch, Harm in Charge, Cola, and Studies really accentuate Chaz's growth as a musician, producer, and song writer.… Expand

With the beautiful entrance piece "Harm in Change" to the groovy stepping stone "Say That", Bundick sets the stage for his brilliant display of chilled-out pop sounds - and don't worry guys- he does not forget about his prolific use of samples. All of his tracks stand out if you listen to them without the bias of his previous albums. Sure, it may not be the heavilyChaz does it again.     This record is fantastic. Familiar sounds from Toro Y Moi, but also explores new terrain. If you're already a fan you'll enjoy this record. Definitely some more R&B influence than past albums, but it's a welcome change.

    Bundick doesn't have a great voice. A one-man vehicle such as Toro y Moi won't fix that issue any time soon, so it might be time for some extra help.

    Make no mistake about it, most of the instrumentation on the album is just Toro y Moi. More so ‘Moi’.

    By trimming away the self-indulgent fat this uneven and overlong work might have been a landmark for Toro Y Moi. Instead it’s just another step in the path of of an interesting career.
