    Just as the two's previous solo projects, the music will probably not sit well with most hip-hop heads, but it's the perfect LP for each of their respective fan base.

    Lyrically, Aesop Rock and Rob Sonic have never been stronger, and they play off each other with a unique composure that's rare nowadays. The production from track to track varies enough to keep things interesting, but it unfortunately begins to bleed together after multiple listens. Still, Are You Gonna Eat That? is an amazing return to the scene for both artists.

    Hail Mary Mallon gives us one of the better independent albums released of the year. The artists' ability to have fun, while weaving a complex and serious narrative is the thing that only seasoned lyricists could pull off.
