New Musical Express
'Idealism' is dusted with the kind of metallic house glitter caking LCD's 'Sound Of Silver', and, just as promisingly, the title track could have been carved from Daft Punk before they decided they were human after all.

Idealism packs in more memorable riffs and tunes than the recent Bloc Party and Futureheads albums put together.
Idealism is essentially a retread, but a superior retread with subtle character definition. [Jun 2007, p.97]
All Music Guide
Sometimes it's electronic music you can rock to, sometimes it's neo-disco tech-house you can sing with, but it's always the fringe of dance-pop at its peak put together in a razor-sharp package.
Idealism shows off plenty of blaring synth riffs. [Jun 2007, p.92]
Under The Radar
It's the subtlest distortion-heavy dance-pop album of the year, which makes it less compelling than its contemporaries, but also might make it more enduring. [Summer 2007, p.87]
Stylus Magazine
Idealism has some fun with memorable new electro (“The Pulse,” “Home Zone,” “Idealistic”) and nu-rave cuts (“I Want I Want,” “Pogo”). But these guys can’t possibly think fans will believe this fifteen-track behemoth, mostly lacking in subtlety and invention, is the big party they half-seriously claim it to be, over and over and over again.

Mark L. gave it a10:
Killer tracks... Fans of Daft Punk and LCD Sound Systems.. This CD is a must own.
Nos B. gave it a10:
Brilliant from beginning to end.
Dan G. gave it a6:
Does everyone here work for Digitalism? This is no match for Justice & Sebastian. It lacks any real character and sounds like all the 'cool' car adverts I'll be muting in the next 12 months. Pitchfork have it right.
Cliff P. gave it a9:
Music here comes in rushes. Well-tempoed. Tight and loose, loud and soft, so varied in the electronic vein that it deserves a full listen no matter how many times you hear it. While perhaps wrong to relate such a young group to the all-time greats, I can remember listening to Who's Next and getting a similar feeling. Problems here are production, which could be much more polished, and acoustics, which need more sophistication. Nonetheless, you must download this album and enjoy a pair bound to get much better as they mature. Watch out! Digitalism is coming.
Rae P. gave it a9:
Brilliant from top to bottom. What else could you ask for in an electro-rock album?
Cadadder B. gave it a10:
This album is superb, right the whole way through.Fans of Daft Punk,or the band who released 2007's other masterpiece("Cross") Justice will absolutely adore it.Reminiscent of LCD's Sound Of Silver too.Great tunes, and its fab live too.
Jang gave it a9:
Much to the shagrin of Stylus, Digitalism have released an album somewhere between the ed banger/kitsune style and early daft punk resulting in an action packed summer album of 2007. Soooo goood.
