I must agree with Adam A. I usually loathe country, alt- or otherwise. I don't even like Neko Case, except for her New Pornos work. Nevertheless, this CD has not left my changer and/or iPod playlist for a month. I saw her at the Metro in Chicago last Saturday, and she is even better live.

I've never rated before, but I just have to say how great this album is. Hooks in every bar like it's the bad part of town, an unfinished voice that tells you this is a real person, and hit after hit after hit. I just can't stop listening to it. I may have to start calling myself a fan of alt-country. Some of the songs are more touchy-feely than I like, but nearly every one is a gem.
