There's more meat on this album's bone than on the laughable Fatherfucker. [#21, p.99]
Playlouder
On 'Impeach My Bush', Peaches has significantly upped her game with a greater leap from 'Fatherfucker' than there was between that album and debut 'The Teaches Of Peaches'.

Even if it's not as traffic-stopping as her debut, this album suggests that she can keep her music interesting for the long haul.

You can't help but wonder what the results might be if she turned her lyrical flair to some subject other than doing the nasty.

'Impeach My Bush' is no great sonic leap forward, but it is a near-perfect distillation of Peaches' "thing".

It's dumber, filthier, sturdier and packed with more euphemisms than Viz's Profanisaurus. [Aug 2006, p.104]
Mojo
An audacious, X-rated treat. [Aug 2006, p.90]
Neumu.net
Her rock-oriented approach here will please some, but such a genre-hopping exercise is only occasionally provocative.

Now there is some varied texture to her beats, where there once was just turbo thrusts. [9 Jul 2006]
The Phoenix
Peaches sharpens her synth hooks, varies the electrogrooves, and serves up 13 tracks that are just amusing enough in their risqué behavior to keep the smiles coming while also standing behind the political point of the title.

Her big sense of humor and little sense of shame should help keep "Impeach" in rotation for incumbent spins.

It's her way with a sexy synth beat that gives Ms. Peaches her succulence. [Jul/Aug 2006, p.126]
E! Online
And by classics we mean poorly produced electro songs you'll hear once, chuckle and never want to hear again--unless you have a head wound or a Sparks fetish.

Impeach My Bush is without a doubt her most competent record yet... But it also seems not to trust itself, always returning to the obvious tricks, making things right rather than keeping them as disorientingly rough-edged as her debut.
While Impeach My Bush barely deviates from Peaches' previous scripts, it matters not a whit.

Peaches' overt and upfront sexuality was once refreshing, but it now feels a little relentless. Quite possibly, the novelty has worn off.
Read Full Review >Under The Radar
At 41 minutes, it’s still a fun ride, but the over-reliance on shock, the lack of new sounds, and perhaps the thunder-stealing proximity of her brash beat acolyte M.I.A. leaves the usually dare-dripping Peaches comparatively dry. [#14]
Entertainment Weekly
It ultimately feels kinda sterile. [14 Jul 2006, p.79]
Slant Magazine
Peaches goes easy on the syrup and heavy on the flavor and hands listeners a delectable, if slight, cherry bomb of an album.

Never transcends the level of a cheeky bumper sticker. [Aug 2006, p.82]

Chad M gave it a4:
Lacks any real substance. It is an allright listen....once or twice, but it gets old really fast.
prunes gave it a4:
the main problem i have with this record is that if a man had made a record detailing similar themes it would be slated as garbage. given a woman's perspective it suddenly becomes praiseworthy apparently. some of the beats are decent, however, but i would rather not listen to the woman.
The Critic gave it a0:
"Impeach my Bush"? What kind of a name is that? C'MON!!!!
Randy B gave it an8:
IMPEACH MY BUSH is unfortunately, not as politically focused as the title might suggest, but that's not to say there's any disappointment here, other than that the song its title comes from isn't longer. BUSH is obsecenly trashy and shameless, but therin lies it's fun. Imagine Gwen Stefani on ecstasy and acid at the same time, and without any insinuations or 80's throwbacks and you get halfway to Peaches-land. Electro-rock to f**k to. I'd say, if you're not big on Peaches' sleaze, then maybe you've just never tried it.
Captain Bongo gave it a10:
Marvellous. F**k the reviewers. This record is up there with the best of 2006.
Richard J gave it a9:
Not often do I like to rake entire CD's, just the best tunes from them, but this is very entertaining stuff. OK, not 10, it couldn't be, but a decent 9. And I think a lot of the negative ratings were because of an anti-shock "we're accustomed to it" type feeling. If you rate this based on the music alone it should get a little higher overall.
mike s. gave it a7:
Peaches controversial title "impeach my bush" is covering political ground such as on it opening track. However I think they are at their best when going party trash electronic rap on "tent in your pants." Overall, the album is unfocused and has only one good single with "tent in your pants."
