All Music Guide
The great majority of Stand Still, Look Pretty is tuneful, tastefully rootsy, and quite engaging country-pop.

This is a solid, sturdy set of songs befitting their rootsy-but-not-exactly-honky-tonk settings.

Solid songs all, delivered with a muscular vocal conviction that does considerably more than merely sell them.

Great country needs the grit that is missing here. [26 May 2006, p.106]
Blender
At times you wish Branch and Harp would dig deeper. [Jun 2006, p.149]
E! Online
A thoroughly dull collection of acoustic-based country-rock ballads you could hear at any local open-mike night.

Really, all there is to be said about The Wreckers is that, in playing country star dress-up, they're reasonably pleasant and inoffensive, which puts them a bit ahead of a good deal of what's currently popular in country music.

Tom T. gave it a10:
Just can not get enough from this album.
Adam C gave it a10:
Being a huge solo Michelle Branch fan, I was a little iffy on her " going Country route ". However after hearing this CD and seeing how much exposure Michelle has gotten from this recent crossover im all smiles. My favorite track is " Tennessee " its deep, and has a great sound to it. Michelle and Jessica suit each others voices very well in this CD and I really think they are the best female country duo to have come out in a long time.
Brian M gave it a10:
Typically, I'm not a big country fan, but I have to say I absolutely love this album. Simple, understated, melodic, and entirely beautiful. If you don't have Stand Still, Look Pretty, you should.
Sugar Luver gave it a10:
I love the song stand still look pretty!!! its my all time favorite song!
Mark S gave it a10:
I gave it a 10 because 11 wasn't on the list. One of the few CDs on which I like every song.
Mark G gave it a10:
What a great album.... I have rock roots and now am a country fan. I like thing in between..... This duo has everything that folks like from pop to country. I just got their CD and I am amazed!
Josef N gave it an8:
I am not a huge new country music guy, i like the oldies like george strait, garth brooks, dolly parton, dixie chicks, etc. THough I love michelle branch and beginning to like jessica h's after listening to her debuting solo album and the wreckers album. Country music needs more music like the wreckers because it is heartful, not big shot like other new country musician. You go girls, they both will improve their musicmanship.
