Coherently channeling R&B, techno, disco and rock music as a pop artist while discussing sex, drugs, lust, God, fame and creativity, Lady Gaga has offered fans her most sonically and lyrically diverse album to date.

Lady Gaga’s utter lack of self-restraint sets ARTPOP apart from her earlier work (ruminate on that for a moment).

ARTPOP is a dynamic, memorable album that, while it fails to unveil the girl behind the aura, reveals a performer who finally sounds as invested in her art as she is in her image.

She doesn’t do anything wildly original with them [musical genres], but she has fun.

As pop, the album is a well-executed and entertaining tour of Gaga's tried-and-true tricks. But as art, it falls short when it comes to one basic function: making an impression.

When Gaga drops the performance shtick on “ARTPOP,” the album really finds its footing. It throbs with joy and sex and freedom, none of which Gaga has truly embodied since her debut.

The concept is artful and logical, yet ARTPOP never insinuates or settles in the subconscious; it always assaults, determined to make an impression even when all it has to say is that it doesn't have much to say.

It's Artpop's most naked, straightforward pop moments that are the album's most redemptive.

There are other duds, including the clunky arena-rock goof “Manicure” and “Donatella,” an excruciatingly lame homage to her friend Donatella Versace.... But Lady Gaga approaches other fresh modes with more spirit, particularly in a handful of songs that pull deeply from R&B

I can't stand the mixed or negative reviews this album gets when compared to the artistical "crap" that was released by Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus or anybody else. The entire album is written, (co-)produced and "done" by the artist not by a dozen of different songwriters or producers per track.

ARTPOP is a truely epic pop release this year, far beyond every other release by a "high class artist".

This album includes hints of all kinds of different genres but it all adds up to a perfect combination of ART and POP! Some songs you can dance forever to (Venus and Aura), some are some nice slower songs (Dope), and then there's songs that just get you all fired up (G.U.Y and Sexxx Dreams)! Zedd's touch to songs like Aura and Sexxx Dreams is just perfect! And as always DJ White Shadow adds his perfection on songs like Gypsy and ARTPOP. In general the album is well rounded with a little of everything that creates an album worth putting on repeat for hours. This is a definite buy for your music collection!
My most favorite songs: G.U.Y, Sexxx Dreams, Swine, Donatella, Venus, Aura, Do What U Want, MANiCURE, and the rest of the album! :D
