  • Summary: The debut album for the 23-year-old rapper from the suburbs of Philadelphia.

  1. The effortlessly cool beats, hooky choruses, and above all, his witty, super-fast flow indicate this skinny blond to be a genuinely talented star.

Get past Roth’s pinched-sinus tone and penchant for overpronounced internal rhyme and he is a different animal [than Eminem].
  3. 60
While Roth's delivery is smart, the subject matter can feel like the work of someone playing dumb. [Jul 2009, p.91]
  4. Listen to the guest performances if you dare; just tune out the pedestrian rapping.

Asher's album is out as of 4/20 The lyrics are relatable, real, creative, but lacking at time, his hooks/chorus' didn't do him too much justice.. though he uses experimental approaches i find interest in [blunt crusin]. Was hoping for some higher named features[kanye? pharrell?]. You can hear his appreciation for the music witch I admire[His Dream/The Reading] Has a good live concert vibe to a lot of them [She Don Expand

I have mad respect for Asher Roth. The Greenhouse Effect, Seared Foie Gras and Pabst & Jazz are all classics in my book. And asleep in the bread aisle does not show Asher's ability at all. As I Em, Lark on my Go Kart, and Fallin are my faves. Expand

This CD is terrible. He rhymes a bunch of random things together that makes absolutely no sense at all. He doesn't sing or rap, he just talks to terrible "beats". No talent at all. Most of all, he has no flow or rhythm. Collapse
