The arrangements are so flush with guitar hooks and buoyant harmonies that these tunes are entertaining even when they're not catchy. [Oct/Nov 2001, p.108]
  2. 60
On Atomic, the band unveils a sharper pop-rock sound, one that's so infectiously catchy that you'll feel like an inoculation is in order.
  3. It's not something that will convert doubters, but it's done well and performed with conviction
  4. Some arena-pleasing riffs, a couple of polished acoustic numers and everyone goes home happy. [Apr 2002, p.114]

This is one of those CDs where after the first listen you are a little disappointed. It's not that the songs are bad, far from it. For me it just took a couple of times for the songs to sink in. I love all their other work and I didn't fall for this one so quickly. After listening to it a few more time...forget about it. It's great. As good as anything they've done before. It just took a couple of listens. Some of my favoirite CDs are ones that I initially was lukewarm about. Lit is one my favorite bands. Expand

Music the way it should be...light-hearted, fun, witty, self-deprecating without being negative...these are guys who can laugh at them selves, then get over it & keep on havin' fun. Rife with wailing guitar & impressive songcraft, "Atomic" is a must-have. Expand

Definitely a stronger album than "A Place in the Sun". While a couple songs on this CD I could have done without, Lit does the pop/punk thing well and a lot better than their musical peers with the exception of maybe a couple of bands. Expand
