Augustines is a record that was born to run, taking hearts along with it as it goes, and is, to these ears, one of the great rock records of recent years.

This is bigger, bolder, and better in every respect. [Mar 2014, p.97]
  3. Ostensibly an album about finding hope and navigating through the pathways of solace, Augustines is a shimmering, first-rate slice of pensive and passionate indie-rock.

This was a reco from a friend that sat "un-listened to" for about a year. Big mistake. Big. This is easily one of the best albums I've heard in a while - McCarthy's vocals took a sec to wrap my head around, but the tunes... Man, they just sweep you up and take you on anthemic trip. Big, emotional, rewarding. Collapse
