  1. Clapton's vocals here extend the feeling of renewed energy and direction he revealed on the Robert Johnson album, exhibiting gospel fervor and silky soulfulness throughout. [4 Sep 2005]
  2. A couple of indiscretions taint the disc, but hey, nobody's perfect.
  3. 60
Clapton's playing is still fluid. [Oct 2005, p.98]
  4. [An] overblown and underwhelming batch of MOR gruel. [2 Sep 2005, p.81]
  5. Yet heartfelt as his sentiments may be, the songs are a letdown: there's neither angst nor exaltation, just tidiness. [29 Aug 2005]
  6. Heartfelt? Yes. But who would have ever thought Eric Clapton's music could become so disposable?
  7. Back Home embodies the featureless, sickeningly pleasant sounds piped unmercifully into department-store elevators. [Oct/Nov 2005, p.121]

C'est un très bon album. Des bonnes compositions comme So tired, Say what you will, Revolution et des chansons plus douces comme Run home to me ou Back home.
