    She's still a class act. [Jul 2003, p.118]

It recollects emotion with a raging tranquillity, artistic objectivity overruling self-pity. [Jul 2003, p.110]
  3. Unfortunately, the album is a bit of a downer from a lyrical standpoint, making something like Jackson Browne's Late For The Sky seem almost upbeat in comparison.

Unfortunately, her melodies are frequently too similar. [13 Jun 2003, p.96]
  5. She has claimed a brand of stylish, postmodern soul singing -- pained but detached; theatrical yet spare -- as uniquely her own, and she presents it here with all the confidence her experience has earned.

Incredibly depressing but very moving. I must be in the right mood for this album. Her two prior albums are far superior.

Reviews on this album are often mixed, but after quite a few listens I'd definitely have to give it a positive rating. There's a Reviews on this album are often mixed, but after quite a few listens I'd definitely have to give it a positive rating. There's a bit of filler on this album but I think it tops Diva and comes close to Medusa. The album hits its peak with the songs Lonliness followed by The Saddest Song I've Got. Expand
